i am running the 2nd to latest xbmc build and also have the xbox branded dvd remote which worked great but for some reason has all of a sudden stopped working. could anyone suggest a reason this might be happening?
hi. a bit more info would help. does your remote also stop working for other applications, like the microsoft or evox dashboards?. if so, check that the dongle is plugged in all the way or batteries.

regarding missing x: y: z: drives... that is weird, but they are only used for caching anyway.

tell us a bit more about your system - dash, mods, etc.
if the dongle doesnt work for evox and xbmc you should try it with orginal xbox dash. if not working then its your dongle/remote i would say
i should also mention as i just ftp'd into my console i noticed my x,y, and z drives are no longer present. would this cause an issue?
anomaly thanks for the reply. i got my x,y and z drives back and that was due to flashfxp cacheing the directories. thats fixed.
now the remote will not even work on the evox main menu. it worked fine yesterday and now it wont. i put fresh batteries in it and the dongle is all the way in and i even tried the dongle in the other 3 ports.
any ideas?
