Hey all,
I'm trying to sort a large list of social security numers by the last 2 digits in the #. Is this even possible?

In another column, enter a formula that will extract the last two digits:
=RIGHT(A1,2)
if your SSNs are in column A, this will work on the first one.
Then - sort by the new column. Delete it when done.

You may want to coerce the text number to a true number by adding a --. In 2003, there is an option to sort text numbers, don't remember if the other versions have that option. The 2 Magic Questions to Sort Prospects::
