Does anyone have some favorite photos of sunsets from chases?
This is one of mine, taken on June 21, 2004, after the large hail tore Amarillo up.

For some reason the scroll bars don't seem like they work very well. Sorry.
Here's one more from this year that I'll throw into the mix. I wish I could have gotten just a little better exposure out of the foreground - was using a sunset filter as it was - this was the best of about ten shots of this sunset that followed a severe storm in June -

Awesome photos, everyone! Guess it just proves storm chasers get to see the coolest things, huh? :D

it was a wall that had choked itself off a few minutes before.

This wouldn't of been possible without the help of the ole' gradual neutral density filter (3stop).

I like to look at clouds and see objects and sort in them. To me, it just looks like an extended finger pointing.

Great pictures veryone!
LOVE THEM :D
Hey Aaron where did you take the picture that you posted?
Sunsets are the best ... here's a tip I picked up from Hollingshead ... on supercell/tornado days after following the fun, force yourself to step back to the west. Even if you are under a monster, when you head west and emerge from the base you'll be treated to quite a show almost every time. Here are a couple of favorites from this year - - -
