  • Fare basis TA14NDQ. Valid any day of week, no min. stay. Source was Travelocity.

  • Check other topics as UA SFO/SJC/LAX/SEA-IAD $141 all to evaluate your cost per mile decision.

  • If you live in the CVG area, $200 fares to the west coast usually require driving 1.5 hrs to IND or SDF, and then fares are usually $200+ all in, but often are higher. You need only consider CVGHostage FT user name, to understand CVG's normal fare structure. :)

  • Just checked on Orbitz, saw some availability on wkdn in Sep and after, otherwise weekdays only but not much in June/July.

  • Would this qualify as a pure MR for status etc or does it make sense in cost per mile ??

the trip is +/-5000 miles for 209 $ which brings it around 23 cents a mile.

Am trying to do my very first MR and so am wondering...Check your math--I think you've got the numbers inverted. $209 for 5000 miles is 4.18 cents per mile.

Here at CVG, any transcon around the $200 mark is worth noting. Being a DL hub keeps pricing high and though we do see fare sales they are not nearly as common. Sub $170 transcons are very rare.

So yes, here in CVG we usually do pay a higher price per status mile.
